NEPA Christmas Light Displays from Above

Drone views of Northeastern Pennsylvania's biggest Christmas light displays, and tips for visiting them this season.

NEPA Christmas Light Displays from Above

[EDIT BEFORE PUBLISHING: confirm the town and display names below, whether each display is lit this year, and this year’s dates and hours.]

Every December a handful of homes in Northeastern Pennsylvania turn into full-blown light shows, and we have been flying them since 2017. From the street you see one house. From the air you see the whole block glowing, the traffic of visitors, and how much work goes into it.

The displays

The Peckville Christmas House

Our flights over the Peckville Christmas House are the posts people come back to every December. From the air the whole display lights up the neighborhood around it.

Downtown Scranton for the holidays

Downtown dresses up too. See the Globe building, Courthouse Square and the Times Tower lit up at night in Scranton After Dark.

Visiting tips

  • Go on a weeknight; weekends close to Christmas bring crowds and slow traffic.
  • Park legally and walk; these are residential streets.
  • Stay on the sidewalk and keep voices down for the neighbors.
  • Bring cash if the display collects donations for a cause.
